Copyright infringement halts Baadshaho! Bombay High Court comes to Trimurti’s rescue

The bone of contention between the makers of Baadshaho and the makers of the 1975 hit-film Deewar, is the song “Keh Doon Tumhe”. The original playback singers for this song were Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar.

According to The Hindu:

According to The Times of India:

Justice K R Shriram heard the original and the rehashed version of this song on 22nd August and passed the judgement that Trimurti’s copyright has indeed been infringed. The Baadshaho makers resorted to approaching a different bench challenging this order, on 28th August, in vain. The new two-bench judge, to the Baadshaho maker’s dismay, stood by Justice K R Shriram’s judgement. This puts the movie’s release on hold until the copyright infringement is sorted.

Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta star in this movie.
