The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) is a law that sets human rights standards for large companies operating in the European Union and companies that will enter into force in the coming days, compelling member states to bring the directive into their national legislation.

The law aims to to protect people from abuses which means victims of humans rights harms involving or contributed to by companies operating in the European Union (EU) or their suppliers should have greater access to judicial redress through courts in Europe.
The law of implemented in all sincerity would be a step towards for instance preventing the use of forced labour or child labour and the abuse of workers involved in making products for sale in the EU.
