A 24-year-old man, named Arvinder Kumar, allegedly stabbed his sister-in-law six times after she denied his sexual advances, in Bharat Nagar.
The incident took place on Sunday around 10 am in the absence of the women’s husband at home.
The accused not only stabbed the women, but also threw her from the second floor of the balcony but she managed to hold the iron bar of an air-cooler on first floor and save herself.
The neighbours caught hold of the accused and handed over him to the police.
