The coronavirus cases across the world have risen at an unprecedented pace. More than 1000 in India have been gripped with the virus pandemic and 25 people have lost their lives with China, Italy and the U.S having the maximum cases.

The virus has not only let to a country-wide lockdown and endangered lives but has also caused unprecedented moves of the government that no one can predict.

The 21-day lockdown imposed by the Indian government from 24th March to 14 April scares the migrant workers of losing their lives due to hunger. Many of these migrant workers were seen on Saturday flocking to bus depots to return back home to survive the lock-down period.

Recently, an appeal has been made in the High Court of Karnataka to turn empty apartments to COVID-19 bunkers so that people could be facilitated, migrants can live and the move can be beneficial for the government in assisting the poor to meet their daily needs.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Karnataka as of now stands at 83.
