After the CBI approaching the hospital for assistance, the AIIMS formed a five member medical board on Friday that comprises of forensic experts that will look into Sushant Singh Rajput’s autopsy files.
“We will look into the possibility of murder. However, all probable angles will be thoroughly examined,” said Dr Sudhir Gupta, who will lead the team and is AIIMS’ forensic department chief.
He further said that his team will be evaluating the injury pattern on the actor’s body and will correlate the same with circumstantial evidence.
“The preserved viscera will be examined and the anti-depressants that were given to Rajput will also be analyzed at the AIIMS laboratory,” further noted Dr Sudhir.
After the CBI team approached AIIMS for its medico-legal opinion in the case on Friday, the central probe agency promised to promptly furnish the team of forensic experts with documents.
Some of those documents include:
- medical papers
- post-mortem reports
- videographs
- viscera reports
