17,500 Children Rape cases in a Year. The Law to Ensure Justice for Them Wasn’t Used in 10,000 Cases

In 2017, out of the 17,557 cases of child rape registered in India under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO),  which is a special act meant to deal with sexual crimes against the minors was not invoked in more than 10,000 or 57 percent of the cases, Reveals the latest data released last month under the ‘Crime in India’.

Chinmayanand Case- After hours of investigation, SIT finally finds laptop and pen drive that probably hold the proof of sexual assault of law student

After 12-hour questioning the BJP leader DPS Rathore, the special investigation team (SIT) finally gets the laptop and pen drive of  Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand who has been accused of sexually assaulting a law student.

The laptop and the pen drive are likely to hold proofs relating to the case.
