Jamia Millia Islam yeah University students have been at the forefront of the protests against the new citizenship law which according to the critics is discriminatory against Muslims.

A Video showed the man brandishing a gun and asking the students who were protesting against CAA if they really wanted “Azadi” or “freedom”.

Referring to the freedom movement during which people were jailed for protesting against the British rule the SC lamented that arbitrary arrest continues to be a pervasive phenomenon and said the discretionary power of the courts to grant anticipatory bail cannot be restricted and the Protection can be granted till the end of the trial

Also, the protection from arrest should not ordinarily be limited to a fixed period.

Using pesticides and chemicals to ripen fruits amounts to poisoning the consumer, says the Delhi High Court –

The Delhi High Court favors jail terms for using chemicals to ripen fruits as this would have a deterrent effect on the culprits.

The use of chemicals like calcium carbide to ripen mangoes is like poisoning somebody and should be penalized under the Indian penal code, says the court.
