Online applications are invited by the Supreme Court of India (SCI), Recruitment Cell, New Delhi from Indian citizens for preparation of a panel of suitable candidates for engagement as Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistants in the Supreme Court of India purely on a contractual basis, initially during the assignment session commencing from 1 July 2021 till the closure of the Court for summer vacation, 2022.

The last date for receipt of applications is 28 February 2021.

Name of the post – Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant.

 

Essential qualifications needed for the post –

  • The candidate must be a law graduate having a Bachelor Degree in Law (including an integrated degree course in law from any school/college/university/institution established by the law in India and recognised by the Bar Council of India for enrolment as an advocate.
  • Candidates studying in the fifth year of the five-year integrated law course will also be eligible to apply for this post subject to furnishing proof of acquiring Law qualification at the time of interview/before taking up the assignment as Law Clerk-cum-Research Assistant.
  • The candidate must be knowledgeable in computers including retrieval of desired information from various search engine/processes such as Manu Patra, Westlaw, SCC Online, LexisNexis etc.

 

The selection process for the post involves–

  • A written test
  • Interview

Test centres – Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

 

Age Limit- 18 to 27 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

 

Stipend –

A fixed consolidated stipend of Rs.65,000/- per month would be provided initially during the assignment session commencing from 1 July 2021 till the closure of the court for summer vacation, 2022.

The application will be accepted through online registration only which is likely to begin from 1 February 2021.

The candidates would be required to pay the application/test fee of Rs.200 plus bank charges via online mode only.

The fee shall not be accepted in any other form. No postal application shall be accepted. The fee shall be paid online through the payment gateway provided by UCO Bank.

The last date for registration of online applications is 28 February 2021 up to 24:00 hours.
